practice description
After many years at a national firm primarily defending complex business cases, we are building a new practice to leverage that experience in service of individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits in the types of civil disputes that matter greatly to the participants, but do not justify larger law-firm rates. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants choosing our engagements on the substance of the issues.
We have a particular interest in matters, including appellate work, that — in addition to reaching the right result for our clients — have constructive public impact. We also understand that many clients will wish to avoid the inefficiency and costs of litigation and we are dedicated to assisting such clients with alternative methods of resolving disputes efficiently and economically.
We have expertise in a broad range of civil litigation at the state and federal level, as well as, arbitration with the AAA and JAMS. This experience includes matters involving breaches of contract, assertions of fraud or other misconduct, and the pursuit of freedom of information requests against state or federal government agencies.
